The more intricate the instrument, the harder it is to shape. The Chang'an Guzheng is crafted from first-grade Paulownia wood for the main body, with African Ebony used for the side panels. The overall design preserves the natural wood texture. Custom-made strings, black ebony bridges, and a unique internal frame design, along with an improved sound hole, give the 100cm Chang'an Guzheng a longer sustain. The transition between high and low notes is seamless, and its portability does not compromise its sound quality.
